Suppers for Kimpeturin

1) Split pea soup

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 cups chopped onion

  • 2 cups chopped carrot

  • 2 cups finely chopped celery

  • ½ tablespoon minced garlic

  • 1 cup yellow split peas

  • 1 cup green split peas

  • 8 cups fat-free chicken broth

  • salt and pepper to taste

In a large pot over medium heat, heat olive oil. Cook onion, carrot, celery and garlic until onion is translucent. Stir in yellow and green split peas, broth. Cover, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 2 1/2 hours, stirring frequently. Add salt and pepper to taste when done.


Franks and potatoes

Dice a package of franks and peel and cube 4 potatoes. Add oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder (I used lawry's seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion soup mix)and mix it all together in a 9x13 pan. Bake it uncovered for an hour on 350, mix it, put it back in the oven for another half an hour, drizzle some bbq sauce, and put it back in for another 15 mins.


Go to salad

lettuce mix

cucumber

red pepper

orange pepper

avocado

corn

cherry tomato


Chop the veggies and mix with lettuce mix, Yitzy's caesar dressing, and Quality choice caesar croutons.


2) Yummy baked rice

2 cup rice

1 red pepper chopped

1 can mushroom

1 can baby corn

4 Tbsp onion soup mix

¾ cup oil

4 Tbsp soy sauce

4 cup water

Put all ingredients together in 9x13. (I use a 24 oz bag of frozen california mix

instead of pepper,mushroom and baby corn) mix well. Bake tightly

covered at least an hr till looks ready.


Baked Chinese Chicken

2 lb chicken cutlets

Flour to coat

frozen stirfry veggies


sauce


½ cup soy sauce


1 cup brown sugar


½ cup oil


3 cloves garlic


coat cutlets in flour. place on bottom of pan. then put veggies and pour over sauce. bake covered 350 for hr. if veggies are frozen then hr and half.


Zuchinni Soup

1 stick margarine / 1/4 cup oil

4 zuchinni

4 potato

1 large onion diced

9 cups hot water with 6 tb consumee powder dissolved salt and pepper to taste In large pot ,sautee onion, zuchinni, potato in margarine till tender. Add in water with consumee -bring to boil, reduce heat cover simmer for 1 hr cool . use immersion blender. add salt and pepper to taste.


3) EASY SIMPLE BAKED LOMEIN

One package of spaghetti, cooked One bag of kosher frozen stir fry vegetables 3/4 cup oil 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 T. garlic powder or fresh minced garlic 1 T. Salt Instructions 1.Combine all ingredients 2.Bake at 350 degrees, covered, for one hour


GARLIC CHICKEN


Dip bottoms into olive oil mixed with lots of crushed garlic cloves then into corn flake crumbs. bake uncovered for 1 hour 45 minutes at 350.


Go to salad or Zuchinni soup or both:)


4) Lasagna

1 32 oz jar of marinara sauce (I use Frescorti) 1 package of lasagna noodles 8 oz of grated cheese 16 oz of cotttage cheese mixed with a beaten egg Layer: First -sauce Second- noodles third-half the grated cheese fourth-sauce fifth-noodles sixth-cottage cheese mixture seventh-sauce eighth-noodles ninth-sauce tenth- rest of cheese cover really tightly with aluminum foil-bake 375 for 45 minutes (30 min worked for me-depending on how fast ur oven is)


CRUSTLESS BROCOLLI CHEESE QUICHE

1 pack frozen chopped broccoli(24 0Z)

6 large eggs

4 T of Onion Soup Mix

1 Cup of Mayo

1 Package Shredded Cheddar cheese

salt and pepper

bake at 350 for 1- 1 ½ hours.


Honey Mustard salmon

Brush salmon fillets with lemon juice. Coat in Ken's Steakhouse Honey mustard dressing. Sprinkle liberally on top of fillets everything but the bagel spice. Bake uncovered on 350 for 27 minutes.


5) Pita

Falafel balls

Salad

French fries

Cut fruit
